Welcome to the Highrise Workshop website.

The Highrise Workshop  is a multidisciplinary workshop in the design of a tall building.

Being held at Delft University of Technology and facilitated by the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Civil Engineering it is the only workshop in North-Western Europe of its kind.

The workshop is an elective course for MSc students of  Architecture, Real Estate and Housing and Building Technology and obligatory course for students Structural Engineering.

The course is held each year from September until November.

The  course is undertaken by multidisciplinary design teams, each student representing one discipline. The following disciplines are represented: architecture, structural design, climate design, façade design, project and process management.

The building has a multifunctional program and there is a focus on sustainability, and innovation.

This 2012 workshop is located in Brussels – the European capital – and will consists of design a Landmark for the European Union.
